Summary
Roduko collects only the information needed to run Sudoku games, multiplayer rooms, player profiles, leaderboards, challenges, and optional notifications. We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, track you across apps or websites, or collect sensitive personal information. Multiplayer data such as your display name, avatar, game progress, score, room activity, and leaderboard position may be visible to other players in the same room.
What we collect
Identifiers
- Local player ID
- Local client/device ID
- Room/session/socket IDs
- Apple Push Notification token, if notifications are enabled
Used for: keeping players connected, restoring sessions, syncing profiles, joining rooms, preventing duplicate players, and sending optional notifications.
Profile Information
- Display name
- Initials
- Avatar colour
- Optional avatar image/photo
- Local or synced profile ID
Used for: showing your identity in rooms, leaderboards, recent players, and social challenges.
Gameplay Content
- Room codes and room names
- Puzzle state
- Moves, notes, mistakes, completion progress, scores, rankings, round results, and match results
- Shared answers and live game events
- Challenge invites, responses, and optional challenge messages
Used for: running multiplayer games, scoring rounds, showing live leaderboards, reconnecting players, and displaying results.
Usage / Technical Data
- Game joins, starts, disconnects, reconnects, and room activity timestamps
- Basic server logs such as request timing, connection events, and error information
- IP address may appear in standard server or hosting logs
Used for: app functionality, security, debugging, reliability, and keeping rooms available.
Notifications
- Push notification token
- Challenge notification data such as challenge ID or room PIN
Used only if notifications are enabled, for game/challenge alerts.
Diagnostics
- Crash or performance information may be available through Apple if you choose to share diagnostics with app developers.
Used for: fixing bugs and improving app reliability.
What we do not collect
- Email address or phone number
- Precise GPS location
- Contacts or address book data
- Health, fitness, financial, or payment information
- Browsing history outside Roduko
- Search history outside Roduko
- Microphone recordings
- Advertising ID for tracking
- Data for third-party advertising
- Data sold to data brokers
Data retention
Roduko keeps personal data only for as long as needed to provide the game and operate the service. Active room and gameplay data is retained for a limited period to support reconnects, results, and reliability. Profile, social, challenge, and notification data may be retained while your profile remains active. You can request deletion of your Roduko profile and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will delete or anonymise associated data where practical, except where limited retention is required for security, legal, operational, or backup reasons. Live Rooms and Gameplay Active room and gameplay data is kept while the room is active and for a limited period afterwards to support reconnects, round results, and post-game summaries. Player Profiles Player profile data, such as display name, initials, avatar colour, optional avatar image, and Roduko player ID, may be kept while the profile remains active. Social and Challenge Data Recent players, challenge invites, challenge responses, blocks, and related social gameplay data may be kept while needed to provide those features. Push Notification Tokens Push notification tokens are kept only while needed to send Roduko notifications. They may be removed when they are no longer valid, when notifications are disabled, or when deletion is requested. Server Logs Server and technical logs may be kept for a limited period for debugging, security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Backups Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups expire or are overwritten.
Data deletion and requests
Users can request deletion of their Roduko profile and associated data by contacting us here Suggested request wording: Please delete my Roduko account/profile data. My Roduko display name is: [name] My device/app player ID is: [if available] After receiving a deletion request, Roduko will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise associated profile data, social/challenge data, push notification tokens, and linked gameplay records where practical. Some data may be retained if required for: Security Fraud or abuse prevention Legal obligations Dispute resolution Debugging active service issues Backup expiry
